Kia ora tātou,

This week we got well into our routines. Here are some of the moments we have managed to capture throughout the busy past 5 days.

We began the new Number unit with a Basic Facts Bricks test to see where we’ll be working at.

Our Lovable Leopards practiced their spelling words on whiteboards:

Students learned how to use the literacy and maths game stations:

On Friday Mrs Taylor came in to teach us some Digital Literacy. This session focused on how to use the photo cut and paste function on the iPads to mix and match parts of our classmates’ faces.

To boost our own and others’ self confidence and sense of self worth, we all thought of something we appreciate about or think is a strength of someone else in the hub. We stuck these sticky notes onto ourselves, then added them to the posters we made about our own strengths and special qualities.

We talked about how we are all unique and have different strengths, therefore we all have value – E Tū Tangata!
